  • We had been feeding a stray black cat at our front step every day for a few weeks when we noticed that she seemed to be pregnant. Since it was starting to get colder (and we're in Canada), we brought her to our vet to check for a chip and then brought her into our house.

  • I had meant to share this very first photo, too! We had carefully built a nest for Lucy with a box and some soft old blankets, but she chose to give birth right on the wooden floor, in the corner by my bookshelf. I scooched some blankets in under her, afterwards. :-)

  • CrazyCatLadyNL . We also fed a stray and called her Lucy. She brought her four kittens when they were four weeks old. We took Lucy and the kittens in, "to socialize them, so they could be adopted".
